Welcome Back!

Welcome to 8th grade Language Arts class with Mrs. Smith!  I do not post on this website every day, as you can always check the Rulers' homework on our team page at strongnet.org.  Check here periodically for information you may need if you were absent.  Absent work is also in the absent bin in the classroom and posted on the calendar in the front of the room.  We are starting out the year with a unit on success and we will be reading a variety of fiction and non-fiction works all on the topic of success.  This will take us at least five weeks to get through and will include an essay and a speech.  I am excited to begin the school work with you!

-Take multiple choice portion of test.
-Work on essay due Friday.

-Typed rough draft due Wed.
-Review compare/contrast essay tips.

Wednesday

Activities:

Work day:  Read pages 298-300 of Write Source books and begin writing the rough draft of the essay.

Homework:

-Study for test Monday (multiple choice portion) and Tuesday (essay portion).
-Typed draft due Wednesday.
